Athletes FootAthlete's
Foot is caused by ringworm of the feet - a fungal infection that causes the
skin between the toes to become itchy, peel and crack. The
fungus thrives in conditions that are moist and warm, so feet should be washed
and dried carefully. Athlete's Foot is contagious so once it is detected
it is important to treat it - either with anti-fungal preparations such as antibiotics
or with alternative methods, such as tea tree oil which is antiseptic and anti-fungal.
Tip: soak the feet in cider vinegar or
an infusion of goldenseal. Then dry with arrowroot powder, and apply tea tree
oil to disinfect. The following complementary
therapies are used in the treatment of Athlete's Foot:
Aromatherapy,
Chiropody, Herbal
Medicine, Naturopathy.
You
are recommended to seek advice of a qualified health practitioner. To find a qualified
